Emergency Response

Crisis has been part of human life whether intended or unintended through natural and manmade causes.

RPC has been responding to several humanitarian crisis faced by the most vulnerable children, women and community.

COVID-19 global pandemic was the most devastating crisis humanity face in its century and the destitute ones were the most affected part of the community. RPC has supported thousands of community members with COVID-19 prevention and protection materials; food items and awareness creation interventions.

Besides, due to conflict induced war in the northern part of Ethiopia, recently severe humanitarian crisis has occurred. RPC has responded to the critical need of 300 households along with their 1500 family in the northern part of Ethiopia to rescue and enable them sustain life. All the important food items such as wheat flour, supplementary food for children, lactating and pregnant mothers; cooking oil, and macaroni. Besides, non-food items such as blanket and bed sheets; plates and cups, cooking pots; sanitary pad for girls and women in reproductive age; hand washing liquid and solid soaps were provided.

Our donors and partners ERIKS Development Partner, Mennonite Central Committee, Austria Development Cooperation and Children Aid Now have been been the reason for reaching thousands of women, children and communities in crisis to stabilize and recover.
