Education - RPC

Education

Education has been the central theme of RPC for the past two decades. Focusing on the destitute children is working for their future and dream which will be realized through creating access to education.
RPC has been intensively working on creating access to quality and inclusive preschool education to the most destitute children and for children with several disabilities.

RPC has established a full-fledged, quality and model preschool for OVCs in Adama and has been running for more than a decade. It enrolls more than 250 OVCs every academic year and provides them quality and standard education. By now, the preschool is center of learning and excellence for all public preschools operating in Adama.
Besides, RPC has initiated access to quality inclusive preschool education attached to public primary schools for children with disabilities named as Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). RPC started with four ECCEs that enroll more than 1,100 OVCs and CWDs each academic year.

Recently, regional and zonal government have owned the initiative and scaled up to 31 ECCEs Adama town.
RPC initiated ECCE are center of learning, experience sharing and on-job training for teachers, schools management and overall school community.

Through the education, RPC has educated more than 10,000 OVCs with preschool education and reached more than 100,000 primary school students, parents, school administration and teachers with promoting inclusive education for children with disabilities.
